A lot of the blends being mentioned aren't really famous blends.
As to famous blends I haven't tried, I'd have to say any of the original John Cotton's blends, not the recreations, which I like a lot.
The original Dobie's Four Square blends, which are not to be confused with the current product that is not what the original blends were.
I don't remember trying any of the Sulllivan & Powell, or Garfinkle's blends that were made by Sobranie Ltd. I smoked a lot of Sobranie products in the '70's, but don't remember smoking those.
Nor do I remember smoking any of the actual Dunhill made Royal Yacht, which wasn't topped to add flavoring that resembles a fermented tobacco, because it was aged through fermentation before it was distributed for sale.
Revelation, which was the blend Einstein smoked. I do have McClelland era Bald Headed Teacher, which is supposed to be a pretty good approximation.
The current iteration of Escudo is a pale copy of what Escudo was when Petersen made it. If you're curious to experience why the blend was once considered a gold standard, you'll need to try the Petersen, or Copes versions.
