Either a blend was available and I tried it, liked it, and stocked up on it or it was already gone so I don't miss it.
Most so called unicorns are good but not worth chasing after. That includes McClelland blends. Sure they're good but there's plenty of other blends just as good (or better in their own right) to lament their disappearing.

McCranie's Murdoch's Pipe. That's the only blend I even ever think about trying to track down in the aftermarket.
I used to lament the passing of some tobacco blends before I started ordering from Esterval's twice a year. Sure, I pay $50 to ship, but that adds less than $5 per tin to the cost depending on how many tins I order.
They stopped listing it in the UK when it was still being sold on SP but alas no more.I was just getting into twists when that disappeared.When you find some send a sample to me.
The only one I truly miss is Edgeworth Sliced. True to my "angel of death" status, once I like something a lot, it suffers a horrible fate (see also, Bohemian Scandal). I erroneously thought I was safe as it was the longest produced tobacco around at that point. Sad thing is, there are a couple of solid blends to carry on the guidon but, they too, are tough to find.
My one is a blend I have never bought but I was given a sample of by a kind generous man from Amerika.

2000 era Three Nuns is the only blend I wished I had stocked up on. It did remind me that when I found something I really liked, load up as quickly as possible.
Pegasus & Granger are the two most wretched tobacco blends on the planet.
The Gawith and Hogarth blend that I have of this is a pale version of the original, according to my elderly neighbour.
never tried it, I’ll never know but I wish I could.
