I think the only reason some of these beers aren't on my top ten is because I haven't found them for sale at the liquor store. Not much chance of finding Utopias at the Quickie Mart.
(If you don't know, Sam Adams Utopias is the most expensive American beer. 27% alcohol and $150 for a 23.66 oz bottle)

@sandoval: Congratulation on the 120 Mike! I bet you like it hophead :)

Guys, the Guinness is growing on me!

I just got off work a little while ago, and settled in for a smoke and a couple of beers. I started of with a Kona Big Wave Golden Ale, and finished it pretty quick. But I found myself almost craving that smoked malt, coffee flavor of Guinness!

This makes my fourth or fifth one now, and I'm really enjoying it!

I'm thinking of trying some Murphy's Stout pretty soon. What are y'all's thoughts on it, as compared to Guinness?

I've never had a Utopia and I'm a Bostonian. Maybe I should change that, but I'm not sure if I want to get into a $100+/bottle beer!
Top ten would be tough but a few:
Monk's Cafe Flemish Sour

Sixpoint Resin

Green Flash Green Bullet

Harpoon IPA is a go-to at bars

Pretty much any English ales I can get my hands on - despite my list I'm not usually much of a hops guy.

Metalman IPA

@Petes, its been a while since I drank Murphy's but as I recall the barley isn't as roasted as in Guinness giving it a softer less 'burnt' flavor.

Murphy's is brewed in Cork as is Beamish, and is another stout worth trying.

I haven't seen any love for my top favorite, so here's my list.
Eggenberg Samichlaus. A Christmas seasonal, but I like LOVE it whenever I can get it.

Eggenberg Urbock 23.

G. Schneider & Sohn Aventinus.

G. Schneider & Sohn Aventinus Eisbock.

Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

Mackeson XXX Stout.

Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier.

Konig Luwig Weissbier.

Iron City Beer.

Labatt's Blue.
The last two I go to when I want a beer but I don't want to overwhelm whatever else is going on. Kind of like a codger blend tobacco- low maintenance and enjoyable for what it is.
@Perique: +1 for the Genessee! That's the first beer that I ever tasted, sneaking cups off the keg at my old neighborhood's block parties.

My favorite is always the one sitting in the fermenter waiting to be kegged. Full of potential and promise, its style could range from pale ale to stout, that's not important. It's that it is there and I brought it into existence and, for that first sip at least, it will always be the best beer I've ever tasted.

Great lists guys, keep them coming!
By the way, based on the good reviews, both from you guys and other sources, I bought some Murphy's Stout this morning when I got off work. I'll probably try it tonight, and let you guys know what I think about it.
I'm currently enjoying another Guinness. I liked it enough to buy some more this morning as well!

Well guys, I just finished my first Murphy's Stout, and I have to say, it's a good one. I still think I prefer Guinness.
Also, me and the wife went out to eat tonight, and I tried a couple of others that I really liked as well.

Highland Oatmeal Porter

Chattanooga Brewing Co. Chestnut Street Brown
Both of these were excellent!
I also picked up a few single bottle samples to try at the grocery store. Let me know what you guys think!
Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout

Shiner Bock

Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan

Young's Double Chocolate Stout

Kona Brewing Longboard Lager

I loved the old Chicago brew Meister Brau, especially in the old days when it came in glass bottles.

Later it came in cans, the same recipe but not as well preserved. It was a cheapie, but unusually

good. The same recipe could easily be sold as a craft brew today, I think. A pleasing old time

German brew -- flavorful, sturdy, and still thirst quenching.

Picked up a deuce of Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout that i'm drinking right now with some shake n bake porkchops and green bean casserole that my gf so graciously made for us. Pretty damn good, i'd recommend giving it a shot if you like strong stouts. Also got a 6'er of Dieselpunk Porter sitting in the fridge to try out after dinner. Very affordable for a smaller craft brew but hasn't received very good ratings from what i've seen. We'll see...

All this talk about Stouts and Porters has driven me to try quite a few here lately, and I have to say that I think I'm falling for them pretty hard!

I even went out and bought a set of English style Stout glasses!

Next one to try tonight, is a Young's Double Chocolate Stout.
