Interesting! Definitely some new ones to try here. Miller High Life seems to show up a bit. That was the first beer I ever had, shared with me by my boss on the way home from work. For a long time, my friend Leslie was the King of drinking because he drank FOUR BEERS! How could anyone drink that much?
Stella is showing up, but personally, I've never had a good experience with the green bottle aftertaste twang.
Dogfish Head 120 is here. I tried that when I asked the beer guy what the absolute best beer he had was. He said he had four in the back, but I could only buy two because he wanted the other two! It was sold in singles at $6 dollars each (for a regular 12oz bottle), but for me wasn't worth the money, though it was tasty.
Old Milwaukee is my favorite of the mainstream lagers. It's a bit sweet, but when it was advertised, cost the same as the Bud's, Miller's and Coors'. When they quit advertising it, it went to bottom shelf price. I believe it only comes in pints (16oz cans, called tall boys in Texas)
Wheat beers are awesome, what they lack in alcohol, they make up for in flavor. One of the best brews with food. I liked Celis White from Austin, you just have to try it before someone tells you it's spiced with coriander and orange peel, or you'll think they're offering you a wine cooler.
Old Rasputin I've wanted to try for years, but I haven't yet found it available.
I have noticed quite a few of us know the ABV, that's probably not random.
@Uber: Yeah, it's an acquired taste. It's kinda like rotten bread, as wine is basically rotten grapes. When you're in college and someone offers you Everclear and Kool Aid, say no. Wine is fine.
@juvat: While you and I could have a great time with a case of Buds, I haughtily sniff at you. *snif* There. And you're using the wrong fork.
