I have a vampire novella I've finished writing but need to finish editing. It's part of a series about different characters and it's got plenty of blood, breasts and bullets. A little "less Phil Collins and more Henry Rollins", to paraphrase another post on the forum. I'll drop the word when I publish it.

avid reader here, so many books, so little time. I've learned more the past two years about how life works than all the previous 53 years together. Finally reversed the brainwashing I recieved as a child.

Try the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Great reads and he has about 15 in the series so far. and has like 5 more on contract to write for this particular series. He also has a series coming out based on an apocaliptical plot line. Cant wait.

When I first found this place, I went to the last page of the General Pipe Smoking Discussion and worked my way back. I got about halfway before I stopped. I'd have to do it all over again to figure out where I left off from before.

I have never understood the new vampire craze. They have been universally considered evil until the last couple years. I did enjoy Terry Prtatchett's parody Carpe Jugulum. In it the vampire kids turned Goth. They started wearing pastels and changed their names from Victor VonSomething to Chad or Betty etc.

I was just about to start a thread asking this exact question, but now I don't need to because someone bumped this one.

Remarkable that THIS thread should be brought back to life today...
The OP is my wife, Cyndi. Most of you probably didn't get to meet her on here and unfortunately will never have the opportunity. Cyndi passed away in October after being hospitalized from complications with her medications for fibromyalgia and a crazy infection that caused her to go into septic shock.
She was a remarkable person, sweet, funny, intelligent, balls-to-the-wall passionate in everything she deemed worthy, and one helluva firecracker. I've smoked a few bowls of one of her favorite tobaccos as of late, celebrating her memory.
Thank you for giving me a way to share this. I haven't been able to find the words to share her death with the pipe community.
