nothing. Then again I'am not a real holiday person. Just hoping for some ghosts.
Wife cooked a big pot of chilly like she does every Halloween. Taking it over to my daughter's house and will be sitting on the front porch smoking some Sutliff Pumpkin Spice in my Halloween pipes. Don't know if the children will be out Trick or Treating this year due to Covid-19.
Not much going on around here tonight, pizza and a classic b&w horror movie. TCM is running classic horror movies all day and night.
1. We will put a table out with individually wrapped goodies. Packs of M&M, etc... We forgot to buy it earlier, so my wife is out shopping now. What will be put out is a surprise to me as well.
2. The kids will dress up and I will take them for a walk around the neighborhood but no trick or treating (Just waving ? at folks)
3. My elder son is a tween, and I am not sure yet whether he would enjoy the walk, so it may be possible only me and the younger one will go for a walk

Baking a Halloween cake, adult beverages and movies.
I’m going to be drinking some pumpkin spiced Old Fashioneds..... okay that’s bullshit. I’m going to be drinking. I’ll probably watch Hunt for Red October.
Got a nice little scavenger hunt for our kids this evening. Not going around this year.
In the best of times, we will get five or six groups of young kids, and we enjoy complimenting their costumes and doling out candy to them. Then we end up with some candy that we partly eat and the rest goes stale. This year, I think we'll keep the porch light off, with regrets, and hunker down. No use fanning up activity that might not be wise.
Was hoping to have a bonfire but 20-30 mph winds ended that idea; hopefully calmer tomorrow. Sit back with some scotch and think of loved ones no longer here.....
I left the candy bowl outside with an additional bowl of mini hand sanitizers for the kids. Not sure if that was the best idea. I am sure one selfish hoarder will steal the bowl of hand sanitizer. About the best, I can come up with. Our children have been locked down for too long here in Chicago. They need a little social interaction.
The table is set, but only one kid has come so far. We have candies, cookies and chips, and a hand sanitizer if someone needs.
Locking the doors, turning out the lights and watching scary movies all night.
I broke out my "costume" t-shirt and am maybe taking Mrs. jaytex for a nice meal.
Then, I think I'll set up a bait table like @cshubhra and see if I can catch a kid or two for the cauldron... ?

The in-laws are having a small party, and their neighborhood is doing there own trick or treating. Don't know how many will show up, it's a private neighborhood. We will stay for some of the party, and then me and the wife are going to stay the night for the first time in our new house.
Sat by the fire pit with a Kaywoodie 51 smooth billiard loaded with SWR Aromatic. Set up the candy, in bags on a table far enough away to satisfy the Wife but, not so far as the older "kids" would take multiple bags. Our age range of kids was between 5 months and 35 yrs...as usual.
