Here's another solid performance from Mr. Peterson, together with Ray Brown on bass, and Ed Thigpen on drums. It starts slow, but give it time to blossom...

Couldn't agree more. O is one of my favorite pianists in the genre - a real giant. I'm partial to the Trio, all iterations. Niels and Ray in particular. Thigpen was a perfect fit with either of these guys also.
Brilliant music. Oscar's comping was true perfection. Timeless, tasteful, respectful, syncopated, and just all around perfect.

The tv show "Dark Winds" just wrapped the Season 2 finale (its a great show). The music is excellent.
They used this one by Derek & The Dominos. It hasn't yet been credited (season finale was last night). But, I new that I recognized that guitar tone. I didn't remember it being on Layla and sure enough, it wasn't, it was only on the 40th anniversary edition. Now, I need that album...
