On the 97th. anniversary of John Coltrane's birth, and in memory of the four girls killed 60 years ago last week by a Ku Klux Klan bombing of a Baptist church in Birmingham, here's a live performance, less than 3 months after the bombing, of Coltrane's "Alabama" which he composed as a memorial to the four victims.
