^ Speaking of Chrissie Hynde and autobiographies, she is mentioned quite a bit in the early parts of Rotton: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs ( John Lydon autobiography). It is a fascinating read. She actually considered marrying Sid Vicious in an attempt to stay in England after her visa was running out. She originally asked Lydon and when he refused Sid offered to do it.

Listening to David Bowie ~ Scary Monsters. Love Fripp's guitar sneaking in and out of it!

Not a song, but a new documentary on Mick Ronson, just grabbed a copy. I heard the producer interviewed yesterday on an XM show, it sounds great.

Thanks for the memories. Saw Canned eat around '75 at an all day show at a local dragstrip (Edgewater). There were lots of bad bands but the last two were Ram Jam and Canned Heat. Ram Jam had a radio hit called "Black Betty"

which I like, but all their other stuff was even better. When Canned Heat came out the two guitarists from Ram Jam played with them for a while.
Everyone kept calling out "Woodstock Boogie" and they kept saying they could not play it since they weren't at Woodstock. Finally, after teasing us for a while they said they would do "Cincinnati Boogie" and did it.
Kids in front of my kept looking back at me funny when I shouted for "Bullfrog Blues", looked back even funnier when they went into it.

Carlos Santana sitting in for the indisposed Bloomfield.

It is one of the first recordings on which Carlos appeared, in September 1968.

And, check out the album cover portrait, it's by Norman Rockwell. How cool is that?
Very cool Dino...and I would have never guessed Rockwell did an album cover.
