My favorite Tom Waits album Mayfair. I like a lot of his stuff for many different reasons, but that album is the most enjoyable to me on a regular basis.
Mine too. Instrumentation and style still blows me away after all these years. The song off Bone Machine, Earth Died Screaming is amazing as well. ::

As a lark, I also bought "The Black Rider" with William S. Bourroughs, and was thoroughly impressed. He really achieved the often sought after, "Taking the listener on a story journey," but rarely realized goal of an artist.
beefeater, A man after my own heart!!! Gram Parsons is a legend, the father of country rock, and Emmy Lou Harris' love for ever. Hickory Wind is one of my favorite all time songs.
