10 Years After led me to Alvin Lee & Mylon LeFevere's album, the cut "Fallen Angel" is a favorite.
That is an excellent album ( On the a Road to Freedom) with an amazing all star cast of musicians Al. I have an old vinyl copy of it myself. An interesting fact about Mylon LeFevere that some may not know. He wrote an old hymn that is found in most Baptist hymnals (Without Him) when he was just a teenager. I can't count how many times I have sung along to that song in church over the years. Always makes me think about On the Road to freedom every time I do.

I didn't know that JBC! I love the old hymns (we were Baptist/Church of God as a young boy). But, as a Catholic, they have lousy hymns! We just rewatched the remake of "True Grit". It's Sunday, so Iris Dement does a great job of "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms". The Cohen Bros did a great job on this song, which plays throughout the movie, changing in arrangement until the final version with Iris as the credits roll.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus is also in the movie, a pair of classics.

Nomeansno, "Why Do They Call Me Mr. Happy?"

I like a lot of their stuff, but this album is their crowning achievement.
Nice, I saw them on tour after that album which was the 2 drummers tour, I saw them again after but everyone says the 2 drummers tour was their best ever, I would have to agree. I remember it was the day after or 2 days after Kurt Cobain killed himself.
