What is Your most Ridiculous piece of Kit?

Is there anything in your pipe smoking gear that is just totally bizarre and useless? Maybe you thought it was a good idea when you got it, or it would make a difference in your experience?

I have an old cork with my stuff I thought it would be useful to knock out ashes with. Can't say it does a better job than the bottom of my hand though.

I have this ridiculous Dunhill pipe tool. I've owned it for 25 years but rarely use it. It works great but it's heavy and I hate cleaning it. Based on the number of times I've used it, I think it comes out to $20 per use. Ah, wastefulness of youth.

I tried the Zippo again recently, and couldn't believe how bad it made the tobacco taste.

Not ridiculous, but puzzling. I have a pipe from Puerto Rico that is hewn out of fairly soft wood, with the chamber lined with crudely cut tin can. It seems to be made for sale at a street stand or off a cart. It is a medium billiard, and without the tin lining, I think it might burn right up. I keep it as a sort of work of art about craft emerging from poverty. Given the materials, I'm not sure I could have done better.
