I said it before here, but the flakes I had to cut in half to fit in a jar just like Sutliff Virginia Slices, they smell and look like them. I bought a pound when I saw they were available again, worried it would be my last chance. If they are Virginia Slices I'll be happy. I'll figure it out eventually. Maybe somebody has already smoked both? I want to say though I'm not saying for sure they're the same, but they're at least similar in some ways.

I’ve used two different ways to jar flakes. Roll them up into the 4oz jars, or lay them into the tall asparagus jars. No need to cut.

Their website says that it is simply matured bright Virginias that are cut into long slices. Is there a reason that you might think this is not the whole story??

As to your salad bar approach, it sounds kinda like you are taking your white beans and your turnip greens, and mixing them together before you pour them on your cornbread. Is that it??

What I meant was, this probably was already being sold under a different name. I’m beginning to think that STG only makes four or five basic blends, but sels them under dozens of different names.
