These are cased for sure but probably not topped…far as my goat palette can tell.

Ashton Gold Rush (not bulk)
Kendal Gold
Watch City Cigar Simply Orange
Watch City Cigar Simply Red

They’re all bulk, all pure Virginia and all delicious.

Recently have tried and enjoyed Yorktown. But I hear much high praise for Opening Night that I’ll need to order some.

@anotherbob - Ever tried Opening Night?
I know you didn't ask my opinion, but yes it's a pretty good blend. I dunno if it's available in bulk though. I found a tin with 4 years on it at the local b&m and it was damn good. Smoked right through it.

Shit. You might be right. My mistake.
No worries. My jaw was about to drop, though...it'd have been a revelation for sure! As if I need yet another excuse for TAD...

@proteus Sadly, 400 and 507-C are both going away, ditto HH Pure VA. That's why I didn't recommend them to the OP. In fact, I was typing my first response thinking to myself, "Hmmm...this is a little challenging now with all these blends getting axed!" Up until now, I've felt spoiled for choice as to straight VA's in bulk.

@hunterspipes I guess there's also Mac Baren Virginia #1, but I've never actually tried it. But it's another MB offering that managed to talk its way into the new STG fold.

How much burley it has (if any) is not disclosed, but Buoy Gold has become my favorite Virginia tobacco.

Buoy Gold comes from the heart of the Old Belt in Kinston North Carolina. The aroma from opening a bag fills the room with intoxicating smells of new mown hay and citrus and fermenting raisins, and it tastes as good as it smells.

Five pounds is $52 and one pound $12.

When you look up the company it’s owned by Fred Ruose, listed as a tobacco warehouseman. Buoy Gold has no additives or flavorings, but it’s been aged and cased in wood for years, or else you couldn’t smoke it at all.

Why pay more for North Carolina bright leaf?

I know that people tend to think you can't get value at relatively low prices but I think they're mistaken.
I haven't had any in a couple of years, but I used to smoke a lot of D&R 3 sails. It was a sweet tasting VA that was what I'd call cigarette cut.
I've been exploring the Sutliff palette now for about 2 yrs, just in time for them to stop production, and alternative suggestions are welcomed.
I did just order some Stokkebye Luxury Flake to step up to a nice VA presentation.
If Sutliff weren't closing, my suggestion would have been their Sweet VA bulk. Luckily, I have at least some of that to savor as i wend my way to wonderland.
