Wondering what is the most aged tobacco in your cellar. Sealed tin or open jar- doesn't matter. Me? I can't claim greatness. I have a tin of 2001 McClelland Christmas Cheer in mason jars that I initially opened in 2013.

McCranie's Red Flake - 2000 crop

Christmas Cheer - 2000

Darkstar - 2000

Bombay Extra - 2000

SG Best Brown - 2005

GH Louisiana Flake - 2005
I'm about to receive a sample in the mail that will blow your mind ... Capstan Navy Flake from 1938.

Thanks to an EXTREMELY generous piper, a small group of us will be sampling this Vintage tobacco.

The tin has been opened and the contents are in perfect condition ... cant wait! :puffy:

I have some Balkan Sobranie from the 1970's and 1980's jarred. Sealed my oldest would be a 1998 tin of Esoterica Tilbury and a 1999 tin of Esoterica Dorchester. After that it is various stuff aged from around 2006 such as Christmas Cheer.

My oldest are 100 gram tins of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky and Orilk Golden Sliced, both are from 1997. I also have one tin of the original Three Nuns from 2000, and then 2 tins of Hamborger Veermaster, 1 F& T CVP and 1 Escudo all from 2001. I then have all kinds of stuff from 2002 and beyond covering every year until I get to the bulk of my cellar which was bought in 2012 and 2013.
I hope Lestrout posts on this thread as I would be willing to bet, he has tons of stuff that is probably 50 plus years old. There are people who collect aged tobacco like some of us collect pipes and have incredible supplies of aged tobacco. People like this don't think twice about spending 200 plus for a tin of something really rare. I have a 30.00 price limit for aged tobacco so I am not in the category of a tobacco collector.

I have 2 unopened 7oz tins of MacBaren Scottish mixture from the late 70's. I had 3... The stuff is delish. I have a (very) few other tins from the 80's and 90's, but mostly I have all stuff 2009 and newer.
I am not bitter since I started smoking pipes in earnest in Nov of 2012. :D

The oldest SJW I've tried is 2008 (in 2014) and it was already fantastic so that must be heaven! :puffy:

I have several unopened tine of the 1996 crop of McCranie's Red Ribbon.

I have unopened tins of SG BBF and Dunhill Light Flake that I got in 2006.

I am working my way through a tin of Dunhill LF from 2005.

I also have opened the tin of MacB Burley London that I am not sure of the date on, but is no later than 1998, since that's when they changed labels.

A perfectly intact 67 +/- year old tin of Cope's Escudo, followed by a few 56-year-olds, half a dozen 35-year olds, a pile of 21-year-olds...and then some newer stuff. Oldest non-Escudos are McCranies '83s, and a bar of 5 Brothers from the '20s that's just for display.
