I was going through my cellar and noticed a tin of Noel I had purchased a year or so ago had some white oxidation on the lid. I pressed on the lid and it opened with little effort revealing the dry rusty contents inside. I’ve had other tins with very minor rusting and the tobacco was perfectly moist and tasted great.
This tin had a funky smell to it, but nothing I’ve ever smelled before, and nothing that smelled like feet or fungus. I’ve smoked two bowls and while there were some pleasant flavors there was some off ones as well. There was some white spots on a few flakes but it looked more like bloom which I’ve smoked before with no issue.
Is it salvageable? Am I gonna die from what I did smoke? I think I’d be more willing to forsake it if I wasn’t a well acclaimed, rare, and expensive.
