What do use to light you're pipe?

I love my Peterson lighter, I have had it two years and the only thing I have had to do is tighten the screws up one time. IMHO it is highly recommended.

It's got to be my Zippo with a clipper as a backup

Ever since I got my pipe insert for my zippo, I refuse to use any other lighter. I owned a corona old boy. I sold it because it was worth a lot of money, and I could only use it inside, and it still barely worked. Even though I keep a bic with me, I make sure my Zippo is filed at all times, tuned up and ready to go. I'll never go back.

Are the Peterson lighters made by the Kiribi folks, or is that a fact I just made up in my head?

My wife doesn't smoke at all. But after 40 odd yrs of marriage she likes to light my pipes when she's around an hands it to me. We're old school. A great woman. When I do light them I use a old Dunhill lighter now. That my great friend Dave G. gifted me. Some times life is good.

Pipesmokingtom, the peterson lighters are indeed made in japan, but I can't confirm that they are made by Kiribi. I will look further into this.. :puffpipe:

I've got a Kiribi now for a year or two and it works great. Lasts a week or two between fills. The flint is very easy to replace.
