Spent most of the day working on a pipe I'm making. I'm kinda slow-physically,not mentally, although the wife thinks differently.

ate a big-ass breakfast at Bob Evans, :D replaced a termite-eaten brick mold piece on my next door ladies garage door trim, with some of the new PVC moulding which was cheaper than the wooden version. Ate a big-ass Mexican meal for supper too. 8O
waiting for the nightly phone call from my traveling wife.

8 am Smoked a bowl of H&H Butternut Burley. Then off to work. Work, work, work.

Got home after 5pm and settled down to smoke Short Cut to Mushrooms in a Danets small Danish pipe.

Went to a wedding,....met another pipe smoker.
Came home tonight to a flooded driveway and garage due to busted hot water pipe in the wall.
I can tell you what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Drove 60 miles to the only B&M I know of ,within reasonable driving distance, that I can purchase pipes and tobacco.Bought 2 huge Nordings ,a few CAO blends for the new lady,a box of my favorite Arturo Fuente cigars. So,needless to say,I drop a few dollars today, but it was worth the drive and the cash.

Watched Rory McIlroy finish a brilliant U.S. Open.

While that was going on... worked on another tamper.

Other than that a quiet Father's Day.

Now for dinner and a couple of Martinis.

Tore out a sheetrock wall in a bedroom, pulled out all the insulation and patched a broken water pipe.
Total remodel of the whole room next week after the wood floor's removed.

Smoked a chicken and two new blends, Aston Smooth Sailing and Magnus Opus. Enjoyed the chicken most. Something had a huge nicotine hit. I am still spinning.

Yesterday I received five pieces of Ebony in the mail so I drew ip some scetches of tampers I'm going to try to make.
Good luck with the ebony my friend.

It is the perfect media for tampers.

I look forward to seeing your work.
Here is one I finished yesterday.

It is made for a man with large hands and formed so that the weight of the tamper will do all the work.

And, is easy to hold.

Let me know what you think.

Travelled from the West Coast to Toronto, courtesy of Air Canada. No real complaints about the flight, but going to Toronto on Father's Day??? Not so much. :)

Spent a most enjoyable day with my sons and smoked some Maltese Falcon. Soon I'll pack a bowl of 1776 Bostonian and then retire for the night. Happy Father's Day to all good pipe smoking dads who deserved their breaks today.

Watched the last round of the US Open. The young lad that won it was real impressive. I think he'll do well now that he made up for imploding at the Masters. Went to church beforehand and afterwards they had an antique car show with the usual food trappings. Although it would have been better if at least one of my kids phoned me. One good thing is my step-daughter emailed me to wish me a Happy Father's Day. All in all a good day.

Got my order of tobacco delivered by the brown Santa today. Now I am slowly sampling the new to me blends that arrived.

Worked a full day but my wife and younger son came downtown to go to lunch - always a treat. My partner's kids went home with them, and the kids all swam and played. Then I got home, partner came over with a buddy, my lovely bride cooked a modest feast.
Now younger son tucked in, lovely bride tucked in, older son out with his pals, me on the patio, under cover from a light rain, smoking a no-name tasty blend in an old Rhodesian. Up at 0630H for an IDPA match tomorrow, then BBQ with a big gang of church friends.
in other words -- a very blessed life.
