Braved 700 feet of bog that is normally my driveway to take Mom to her hair appointment. While she got beautiful I shopped for books in the antique mall and found an excellent one on Vikings.

I poisoned the weeds in my beautiful green lawn.
Next couple of days it'll be back to brown like it's supposed to be.
(Sung to the Marine Corps Hymn)
From the ants in our petunia beds,
To the crabgrass on our lawns,
We'll fight them off with chem-i-cals,
Till the bugs and weeds are gone.
We'll use quarts and quarts of Poi-son spray,
And we won't stop till they're through.
All the bugs and weeds are dying now...
But, the plants and trees are too.

Today, I tried to recover from yesterday when I played hooky with Sandy ...
Yesterday, we went to Cha Cha Coconuts at the top of the St. Pete Pier and had Margaritas, Fish Tacos, and a Shrimp Quesadilla by the water ... middle of the day, middle of the week, and that isn' even the best part ...
The Best Part ...
After lunch, we stopped and checked out the Pier Aquarium. Here is a Chocolate Starfish (just don't Google it, whatever you do.)
As we were leaving the Pier, I noticed they had Pelican Food for sale ...
The Pelican is like, "WTF?!?, I don't have any money! I'm a freakin' Pelican!
The Margaritas from lunch were starting wear off, so we hit Red Mesa Cantina for a few more ...
We went back to my place around 5-ish, occupied ourselves until about 9, (just talked, I swear) then went out again for more food and drinks.
It was a great day and evening, and now we have the weekend coming up ...

Spent the day on the river bank. I brought home my catch and heading back out to see what's gonna happen after the sun goes down. Caught a 30lbs. mudcat the other night.
I went to music theory and then stopped by the tobacco shop. Picked up some new tobacco and hung out for about 3 hours. Then I drove 80 miles home. It's been a good dayyy.
Checked the mail and found two pipes . A Barling sandblast billiard and a Pete K Briar 65. Cleaned them up and am doing a test run with the K Briar right now.
I went in to work at 6AM, got off work at 5PM, getting paid for only 8 hours, my job sucks rotten gorilla balls, what evils did I do in a past life to deserve this? :crazy:
I woke up and put on my new green shirt, packed up my pipes and the wife, and headed out for the day! First we went to a world music festival and listened to traditional music from around the world, next we went to a Mexican market and bought a lot of stuff that brought up memories from her childhood (and some from mine). Next we met up with a few friends for some green beer and a quick lunch. After that I dropped her off to go shopping and I went to a gun show with the intention of picking out a pistol (I didn't find one, and I need a lot of help with which type to get) after she was done shopping we met up with her parents to eat at Outback. I got the steak and crab cakes with steamed veggies! After dinner we headed home and just finished watching a movie... I am currently on the computer in the extra room puffing away! What a great day!

Today, because I feel like a 4 day week, I will shelf my coding projects and sit in a tank(in battlefield bad company 2) with my pipe and shoot up commies!
I spent some time sitting on my tractor slow tilling the garden spot while puffing a cob of SWR constantly.
Won a new bike on ebay! Its a 2005 model with only 10 miles on it. Man I love ebay! New bike = $1999, little used ebay bike $760

We acquired a chest of drawers for our grandson that is due fairly soon.
The wife wanted to go out for dinner, so we had a nice ribeye and tater, then on the way back I was coerced into making a stop at Lowe's to pick up some supplies to paint the aforementioned CoD. The wife being the devious, underhanded and all around sneaky woman she is; excused herself so she visit the ladies room.
She returned a few minutes later and we went to pay for the supplies, there were two additions to my purchase that I didn't know about.
1) a 21" self propelled Briggs & Straton lawn mower.
2) a cast iron bar-b-que grill and smoker (charcoal style)
Not a bad day all in all.

The good thing about mudcats and mermaids is you can eat both of them . Took the day off and just vegged out . UPS brought me my monthly TAD order also got my new Merkur Futre razor today and got to try it out .
Sweet couple of pick ups Lawrence! I'm a fan of charcoal myself and would love to have a smoker! She sounds like a keeper!
