In the past couple years, my wife and I discovered the magic of rhum (vs rum). We love the dry flavors (vs the overly sweet flavors of rum). It works so well mixing or sipping. Unfortunately, the only rhum available near us is barbancourt, which is very good, but we're keeping our eyes open for other brands to sample.

I get mine from La Compagnie du Rhum in Martinique, an online retailer with a large selection. Excellent service, and the site is in both English and French
