Last Rafael Gonzalez PC from a '14 box. I've watched it and waited and tonight was the night. Pretty good, but as a self-described Cuban-Mareva-hound, this was never one of my favorites (I used to smoke 2-3 Upmann PC and a Monte no 4 per week, every week)

When I went through my Cuban cigar phase that was my favorite vitola. I really enjoyed monte 4’s when they weren’t plugged

Fuente Magnum R52(?) or maybe 54 I dunno, Rosado Sun Grown.

What I can say for sure is that I love these, and bought a box of the R44 which are actually 47 gauge and are also the only ones in the series where the R(X) does not equal ring gauge but rather box count. Got it?
They're such great cigars. Really, the only Fuentes I like more is when you get a great Opus, but those are in a whole different league in terms of price, and aren't always so great.

Now that Fuente has a Nicaraguan factory, I'd love to see a version with Nicaraguan binder and filler, though I guess the San Cristobal Revelation uses a very similar wrapper, if not the exact same

Fuente Rare Pink
Fuente Naked Kings

All use their Nicaraguan tobacco. I haven't heard they have a factory in Nicaragua. I know they have farms there now and I would assume warehouses/barns for processing and fermenting the pilóns.

Right before she quit, Liana Fuente did say that the Rare Pink is a preview of something to come in the future that would be more widely available. To date, I haven't heard any more about that project. I'm still waiting for the rerelease of the Hemingway Rosado (best Fuentes I've ever had), but that looks like it got derailed with the Rare Pink.

FFOX - Destino Siglo. I love these. Every once in a while I get a pronounced banana bread note. This one has it.

There was a machine made cigar from Tampa, Florida years back called Black Arrows, By Rigoletto.

Rigoletto is still in business. Most popular cigar today is their Black Jacks.

But the Black Arrows are gone and were a favorite for the exact reason you described.. I always tasted Banana Bread. You brought back some fond memories.

On edit: After a search, they’re still around!

Different band and Handmade?

A drug store offering about 35 years ago. As the Black Jacks still are today, sold in packs of four.

That's where mine came from. 4-pack Dapper sampler thrown in with a box purchase of El Borracho Broadleaf

I hope yours smokes great. Wouldn't surprise me if our smokes were box mates back in Feb...
I got the DTT, Plasencia, and 50 for 100 blind buys for my birthday. The 50 for 100 cigars were mostly unfamiliar, and I'd never heard of this one before. Yesterday I handled it during the boring part of our daily team meeting, when I was looking for something else; now that you've mentioned it, I'm looking forward to giving it a try!

I've had about 5 of the Rare Pinks, and 4 of the 5 were really good, and 1 was just OK and suffered from some construction issues. I think in all those cases there is only a bit of Nicaraguan leaf in the filler. If love to see that sensational Rosado wrapper over an all Nicaraguan blend.

The "new" EPC Sumatra. I put new in quotation marks because they've done so many re-brands of their non top shelf stuff, I don't know if it's really a new blend or just new packaging for the old regular EPC line. I wish I had a couple more to smoke, because I'm still not sure what I make of this one.
