Thanks for the recommendations. I will look for those and let you know how I make out. I usually fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to cigars. It is good to be able to come here for advice.
I hope you're able to find something good which will make your vacation memorable!

I really like the idea of hiking out to my neighbor's lake, and sitting on the shore with a nice cigar and/or pipe for a while. Then I remember that it's about 1.5 miles each way through wetland and forest, and suddenly my deck seems perfectly appealing.

What a nice surprise, glad you enjoyed it

It was interesting to read the reviews on Blind Man's Puff, and see some of the similarities (tight draw, chocolatey and meaty notes) as well as the differences. At least one reviewer noted bitter black coffee, which I didn't get at all.

I'd buy one more to try it again, but I don't think I'd buy a box--maybe a fiver. I simply have too many cigars right now to justify buying (many) more.

Try the Micallef Migdalia if you like the A. The Migdalia is really nice too.
Thank you!

I bought a box of Migdalia SE that I've been smoking through.

I believe I've smoked 4 from the box of 12 purchased back in May.

I also have a 24 box of Migdalia in the same Petite format as these "a"s. That one is gonna box age for a year. Here's hoping

Smokingpipes had this brand on clearance sale, and then with another 20% off I stocked up. Sometimes they're real good

These are only released October?

I started cigars in the mid 80s, quit in the 90s. Fuente has always been at the top of my list. I had a Fuente Hemingway Short yesterday, the first time to have a Fuente in all these years, getting back into cigars this year, and it was absolutely terrible. It was literally the worst cigar I’ve ever smoked, like smoking some cheap $1 drug store cigar, I was shocked.

I’m not sure I am familiar with Quesada, but I see they are in the Dominican, I will certainly try their brands for a Dominican next time instead of a Fuente.

Getting back into cigars this year, I am blown away by all the new New World brands out there, so many. Maybe it’s time to start saying good bye to the big names, and start looking at the smaller companies and boutique too.

P.S. How, did you like this one, and have you smoked any of their other cigars? 🤔

My brother gave me this one. I think they’re released every august. That’s the only one I know of that I’ve had from that brand. It was good though! I’d smoke another for sure. As far as the Fuente. I’ve had a few that were off but that doesn’t happen enough for me to give up on my favorites.

That being said there are a lot of boutique brands popping up that have some fine cigars!
