On the occasion of my 80th birthday, I decided to celebrate with the cigar enclosed in the below depicted band: the Quai D’Orsay No. 50, a magnificent Havana, in my judgment, the smoothest cigar it has ever been my pleasure to enjoy. I wish I still had the cigar to display here, but I found to my chagrin that this was the last of the box. Sad, but the good news is that I can still order Havanas and replenish my stock. In the meantime, the band will have to suffice. Not a bad treat on turning 80.

Just finished up a 30 mile bike ride imagining the rest of the day revolving around nicotine, steak dinner and master race pc gaming. Kicking off the relaxation phase with the final blend I've tried from Apostate cigars, The Initiatory. I have enjoyed this manufacturer.

I like the band. Will have to keep an eye out for them...

Smoking a Drew Estate 20 Acre Farm with some Honduran iced coffee. Watching some hoop and roasting some coffee.

Happy Birthday! I have been meaning to try a box of the Qd'O No. 50 or No. 54. I always enjoyed the understated and unique look of the old Qd'O bands, but I have to admit to liking the new "bling bands" too

Happy birthday and congratulations!
To my taste I prefer 50 to 54, I find it more incisive, tastier with more defined aromas.
A line, however, different from the previous ones.
But that's just my opinion.

Brendan, I got out my magnifying glass because the small cigars have really small print, and I could see the orange banded cigar is labeled Connecticut. I've always thought it was cool that Connecticut is a tobacco state, unlikely as that might sound. I think they do mostly cigar wrapper leaf, though I think that leaf is also sold as a pipe tobacco condiment, but don't quote me on that.
