My local B&M just started carrying the Herrera Esteli Habano Lonsdale. First time with this size (the robusto version is a favorite of mine); it smoked and tasted great.
Not bad, a little rough.Smoking a Noel Rojas barberpole. Not a lot of info on this cigar, so going in kind of blind. I love the street tacos barbacoa from Rojas.

I got one of these from MyCigarPack a few months ago but I’ve just been sitting on it. I’m anticipating it greatly whenever I finally get around to lighting it on fire. Not bad, a little rough.
Moving on to a My Father La Promesa. My Father is easily in my top 3 factories. Pretty much everything they touch is amazing.

I think you'll enjoy it. La Bijou and LA Antiguedad are probably my favorites.I got one of these from MyCigarPack a few months ago but I’ve just been sitting on it. I’m anticipating it greatly whenever I finally get around to lighting it on fire.
I’ve only ever had Le Bijou 1922 from MF, I’m a huge fan of that cigar.I think you'll enjoy it. La Bijou and LA Antiguedad are probably my favorites.
I just had a MF La Promesa in the lancero size earlier this week and thought it was one of the better lanceros I've had recently. Guessing the other sizes are nice too.I got one of these from MyCigarPack a few months ago but I’ve just been sitting on it. MF lancero are great, their No. 4 is fantastic. I've been exploring lanceros much more lately, Foundation Tabernacle is really really good if you haven't tried that one yet.I just had a MF La Promesa in the lancero size earlier this week and thought it was one of the better lanceros I've had recently. Yeah, I dig The Tabernacle too. Broadleaf maduro lanceros seem a bit less common and it fills that niche lightly. Though if we're taking Foundation lanceros, I am a sucker for the El Gueguense lancero. The entire El Gueguense line is decidedly my style, and the lancero is a really good expression!MF lancero are great, their No. 4 is fantastic. Keeping the smoke flowing with an AVO XO while watching UFC. A staple in my humidor.

Honestly anything from Foundation is killer. I love all the quality cigars we have access to these days.Yeah, I dig The Tabernacle too. Agree on the MF No. 4. One of the best lanceros of all time, IMO.
Have you had the newish one. I think it was called Olmec. I had both the claro and maduro versions and thought they were both fantastic. The claro in particular was unlike anything I've ever had with a Mexican wrapper.Honestly anything from Foundation is killer. I love all the quality cigars we have access to these days.
Just finished reading his autobiography "Straight Life" what a wild ride.Galera Connecticut on a nice and dry Saturday morning, some coffee and Art Pepper. Good weekend everyone.

@danimalia one of each Olmec coming to me from Fox, as well as a Plasencia sampler. I've been meaning to try them out, thanks again for the heads up.I haven't yet, thanks for the info, I love claros.
Too many cigars to keep track of!
Yes Art had a pretty rough time. I heard they had a jazz band in San Quentin at one time. Several others of his time also had similar lives, Stan Getz, Chet Baker to name a few.Just finished reading his autobiography "Straight Life" what a wild ride.
