haven’t tried any Placencias yet. I will have to get on that.
It's too bad they're pretty expensive, but the Alma Fuerte is really fantastic, IMO. The Reserva line is also pretty good and a bit more affordable. But even if you haven't tried a Plasencia-branded cigar, I am guessing you probably have smoked cigars made by Plasencia before as they make a lot of cigars for other brands.
 
Earlier in the day it was cigar time - I smoked Caldwell Cigars Long Live The King. While I absolutely love Caldwell cigars this batch with 60 ring gauge has horrible construction. They have not put enough tobacco so the 60 ring gauge has air gaps and burns horribly. Either this was an unlucky batch, or they don’t know how to roll a 60 ring gauge. Lost a lot of respect for Caldwell.
