What Can You Learn about Yourself by Looking at Your Own Pipe Collection?

The majority of my pipes are Petersons and Ardors. I own not one straight-stemmed pipe, and just about all of them are half-bents. I tend to go for classic shapes, and finishes.

My collection spans the gamut from traditional shapes to freehands.
Yet as I age I tend to purchase more traditional shapes.

I try to imagine what type of person the average pipe smoker is like in this day and age. I know that there isn't one type. But I have to think, for someone to continue to or choose to smoke a pipe during these current times, there must be some trait that connects them all.

My pipes are usually $60 or less. They are of normal shapes. They have lines from the bowl to the tip. ie don't like saddle pipes.

DON'T ASK ABOUT THE MORGAN BONES PIPE IN MY GARAGE! It scares the rest of my collection. It is the biker that shows up at your wedding. It breaks all my rules. I most certainly will not be smoking it today! (FYI negative 13 degrees now)
