I like the childlike marker drawings sans text. A few make me recall Dubuffet. For some reason up until now I thought you were much older, late 60s or so.

I do mostly mandalas (all from scratch, all freehand) with either acrylic paint or colored pencils. I do the occasional traditional painting as well. Have also won a couple poetry awards.

in grade school my friend and I used to draw "scoobies" which were oblong overlapping ovals.... covering pages and pages.

don't ask me where the fuck the name scooby came from hahaha

Caught the driftwood and the shell In my shrimp trawl in Vermilion Bay. I used to paint and draw but had stopped, they were interesting so I did a pencil drawing of both.

They are extremely therapeutic. I think mostly because it occupies your mind, so that it can’t snowball with negative thinking patterns, but at the same time does not require so much attention as to stress you out with decision making or frustration.

Scooby in AK is slang for the little bits of charred weed that suck through the pipe into your mouth at the end of a bowl. The origin being of course, scooby snacks.

lol I've heard it called that.. but being in 2nd/3rd grade I think it related more with the cartoon somehow.

Yep, that's art. I've always thought Sam Maloof's work was art.

Sam Maloof is a hero of mine. I've actually referred to having the original germ of this design idea as my 'Maloof Moment'.

If you mean 'art' as a compliment, I will take it as such. Art vs craft is a discussion I've grown weary of.
