After a great meeting of the Pig's Eye Pipe Club, I'm breaking in this new Randy Wiley pipe with an inaugural bowl of GLP Barbary Coast. I bought it to commemorate both the 10th anniversary of my business and the unfortunate passing of my cat. I am sad to say both happened on the same day. He was my buddy for the last 13 years. I enjoyed a leisurely Fall walk to the local lake with a bowl full of a self-mixed cherry aromatic. I've been testing the moisture holding capabilities of an old rubber-lined leather tobacco pouch. I loaded it up 18 days ago and the tobacco is still just perfect for smoking. I used a Kaywoodie "natural burl" bulldog.

This morning its cool and it just might rain. Im smoking some Makhuwa plus latakia in a Pipe Art 2000 made by il Ceppo. I dont know how the two got partnered up in the 90's but its a damn fine pipe.

What little I know about Pipe Art was a tobacco shop in germany that hat took work from a lot of carvers and they generated pipes for them. Some of them talented young carvers that became well known. I guess they also teamed up with il ceppo in the earlier days.

Just finished smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2002 smooth top, black sandblasted quarter bend military mount Karl Erik Ekstravagant horn with a horn insert in the ferrule and black acrylic stem. Couldn't post before now because Tomato the Brave decided to lay on my lap. He doesn't do that very often, so I didn't dissuade him. Neither Daisy the Feral Princess, who was on my lap earlier nor Sleepy Suzy were very thrilled about it. Oh well... I've been watching Bacall on Bogart. Not quite the title I would have suggested for this biography.
