I have been absent for a few days beavering through endless cr*p at the office. Today I opened a pouch of Mick McQuaid from the late 1990s early 2000 and was pleasantly surprised to find the plug was in pretty good condition without need of rehydration. I am using this run of the mill meerschaum 'cutty' which is slowly turning a delightful sh*t color whilst I catch up on some more chores.

@condorlover1 Looks a good tobacco choice for my vintage clay pipes. Currently smoking Condor green in my clays. I know you'd say it's not the same as it was since production moved to Poland but I've only had my clay pipes since 2018 so never smoked the older versions. I'm told Coniston Cut Plug is a similar to the old Condor Long Cut. The tobacconist in Buxton sells it loose!
