Cracked a fresh tin of Blairgowrie in an Abe Herbaugh
Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Enjoyed a light snack, and am smoking Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Smoking some Burley Flake #2 in a Boswell while I get the smoker ready for some pork butts.
Today's smokes were:
- Half & Half in the Burley cob. I don't hate it, but I don't love it, either. My last pouch of this was in 1999, and my memories of it have faded enough that I wanted to give it another try.
- Squadron Leader in the Dr Grabow Regal bulldog. Tasty smoke, but having smoked much heavier English/Balkan blends over the last year, it strikes me as a lot lighter than it did when I first tried it circa 2004.
Closing out my activities with a toot of Poschl Loewen Prise.

About a quarter of a bowl left of Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend 1938-1948 Pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a nickel band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
First smoke in a little Meerschaum egg with some C&D Redburn
A third of the way through this bowl of KBV Mr. Christian’s Kraken Plug in a post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. If you’re interested in getting one, please contact Smoking Pipes and ask them to put this model back into production.

Decided to enjoy my Savinelli Punto Oro Mister G today. I smoked John Cotton's Double-Pressed Virgi ia, WCC Old Dominion, and Union Square.
