Despite not needing another pipe, I've been eyeing a short pipe (dagner poker, short, junior) for a few reasons.

What makes you glad to buy the Peterson short?
Smokes great; after a brief period the p-lip (first one I’ve had, and supposedly the most comfortable one yet) has become very comfy and clenches great; after sticking with mainly US mid century estate pipes that screw together I’m used to blowing out moisture mid smoke if it accumulates; and my white whale at this point is a WWI era military mount K&P billiard and this is as close as I may get for the foreseeable future.
This is the only non-cob I’ve bought new, not estate.

Continuing with the Wilke theme for the day I’m smoking Lizzie Blood in the 1922 Duncans Zoie with patent silver inner tube. I must admit I thought it must be a bit of a gimmick to have a solid silver inner tube but it obviously absorbs more heat than aluminium and actually provides a very cool smoke, if I were a pipe maker today I might very well try something similar. image.jpgimage.jpg
