While checking some tin seals last night, the lid on a tin of 2004 Butera Pelican literally popped off in my hands! So, it evidently wanted to be smoked (rather than sold). Honestly, when a tin starts commanding the kind of price that these are, it usually goes on the block and I buy 7 or 8 tins of something I love with the proceeds. But I’m all about accommodating tobacco that’s desperate to be smoked. Glad I did - this first bowl in a 1980 Dunhill Dress Billiard is sublime.

Enjoying my standard weekend morning blend of 2/3 Angry Cornishman by Country Squire and 1/3 Boswell's Northwoods in a Savinelli Roma Lucite 804 KS with some Irish Breakfast tea mixed with Russian Caravan tea with milk and sugar.
