Finished work for the day, and am close to finishing this bowl of Watch City Queequeg’s Moby Dick Series in a slight bend smooth brown post WWII 1940s Sasieni Ivory 101 Westminster diplomat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Have about a third of a bowl left of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2019 black rusticated Peterson 312 full bend billiard with a military mount and a nickel cap with a cumberland 4AB stem and a N.A.P. bit. Fed three ferals, and I'm reading baseball box scores.

So, I was out this pre dawn for the second time this a.m. and smoking a favorite old meer lined Canadian shaped smooth briar and a home mix of Sutliff Aged Red VA, Sutliff Stoved VA, and Sutliff LA Perique, and as quite often does, an old song, and I mean old, will pop into my head. Sometimes I'll even look for versions of it on youtube, like I did this a.m.

Tasty Perique-Cones in an Isle of Man Bulldog lined with Tansania meerschaum in those days. First smoke of the day with some coffee while warming up in the sun. It’s getting cold here in Germany.

Finally got a load of cleaners and decided to revisit my first pipe. A 25€ Capitello that likes to get hot and leak moisture between wood and vulcanite but works just fine otherwise. I don't smoke it much but think it's a beauty. Gonna enjoy some Burley and Kentucky with just a sprinkle of Turkish in it.
Old Man’s Pipe Story, Cake,?from Tom Darasz in Kiel (White Burley, Orientals and Perique). Smoking a home made pipe with Duke/Don Shape in mind, with metal and ebonite stem. It wasn’t easy to get that balanced on the canted bottom. Maybe the bowl Dunhill used was just thicker in diameter and therefore heavier.
