Early Morning Smoke: Davidoff Flake Medallions in my 1946 Dunhill Patent Shell Billiard (shape 60/1), along with my handy Rodgers of Sheffield pipe knife and 1950's Nimrod Commander pipe lighter
Finishing up a bowl of Capstan Blue (fully rubbed-out this time) that I started last night.
My palate isn't yet to the point where it notices any benefits of DGT, but it's nice when the stuff tastes at least as good the next day as when you put it down!
Part way through this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. The wind and rain from the hurricane will go on all day, so no walking reps for me.
Good day all! Digging out/wading about from Hurricane Ian with an apropos bowl of C&D Kajun Kake in a Tilshead smooth Cutty with eighth-bent tapered stem. Didn't post yesterday: managed to get in a reassuring bowl of Elizabethan Mixture during the storm in a series of two-minute quick smokes. Hope the Mid- and South Florida forum members are OK - and the Carolina folks have prepped well or evacuated as it is coming ashore as I write this.
Going to start off an afternoon of smoking 100 year old pipes with a bowl of D&R Penhooker in a smooth brown late 1890s, early 1900s unbranded military mount bulldog with a silver windcap and spigot with a black vulcanite, flared stem and orific bit. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
Smoking now the legendary Balkan Sobranie (the remake of it). A one bowl sample was given to my by a member of our local pipe club, during the gathering we had last Wendesday night (thank you Lefteris). In a MM Country Gentleman. Drinking red wine, after having a slice of Cheddar cheese. Generally, life sucks but sometimes it doesn't.
May you all have a nice weekend good people.
