Dilly-dally pipe day where I would step outside, smoke for a bit, put the pipe down and then go back to whatever I was doing:

1st half of the day - C&D Night Train in my cavernous sitter
2nd half of the day - Salty Dogs in my bones baldesian - Gotta say, after a couple of months in a jar, this is a really great blend. I already have my cobbit loaded with it for tomorrow.

I love to harvest natures gifts, it's always so peaceful and relaxing. You just look at leaves and their natural movement in the fresh wind, the many colors of the fruits, all the neat little bugs happily crawling around.
And then you scare up some beautiful butterflies and watch them flutter off. It's just lovely.

Thank you, I really like and enjoy it as well. Actually I can barely believe that it looks like that now, being broken twice and all. I mean it's an 8€ clay pipe and any other person would've thrown it out without even thinking about it.
And we may not be able to sit down for a good time that easily but with the package you're eventually going to get you'll receive more of my home than I could ever bring along. 😁

OT:
I sat in the garden again and enjoyed the uniformly gray sky and a few little raindrops with my clay and Burley/VA mix. Actually that was about four hours ago, right now this bum is upgrading to wino. Again.
This will blow the man down one of these days, gotta avast meself.

This pipe kinda reminds me of Asterix.

Absolutely love this (personal?) repair job on a clay pipe, really gives it a touch of personality!

Hmm the idea of a sweet Burley sounds nice, certainly not the hospital LOL 😆 I will have to try this... hmm 🤔

Have you tried Solani Aged Burley flake?

This is quite surprising Eight State Burley in stock. 😮

WOW long time no see, welcome back! ❤️

When these blends were 2000-2500 tin runs they FLEW off the shelves, but these new 15,000 tin 'Small Batch' runs... That's a different story.

Six Panel Marxman billiard with a black saddle stem filled with C&D Sun Bear Mountain 🌸. Marxman really is one of the truly underrated pipes of our times. I hope to find and acquire a Marxman 400. But wouldn’t we all?View attachment 170924

I've been really enjoying this year's release, the strong Oriental lead is very well balanced.

Good Saturday morning all. No footie this weekend. I'm starting the day with Derringer in an MM Charlestowne Cobbler.

Quite bummed about these International breaks too, especially in the lead up to the World Cup. Are they really necessary?

Mixing KBV blends today: Notorious spiked with a little more virginias from Verge Engine - smoking a big tasty bowl in this self-restored S Bang brandy:

My kind of weather has arrived. Time for flannels and sweat shirts. Evenings are cool and delightful and the crickets and katydids are singing their songs. Soon it will be sweater weather and the smell of decaying, beautiful colored leaves will happen. I sat outside with my loyal companion, Quincy and my Bjarne Viking Classic pipe filled with Match Revelation and was glad to be alive.

15 year old McClelland's Yenidje Supreme in a Willmer Bel Air Bing shape.

After a day to breathe this blend has opened up. Subtle and light on the palate.

McC red Virginias support warm spices like cardamom and something reminiscent of cinnamon and occasional hints at mint. A typical mild Oriental sourness appears, but is well balanced. A very laid back blend, the flavors need to be slowly teased out and enjoyed.

Finesse would describe the overall presentation.

The last of my SPC Hogshead sample in my Stefano bent Rhodesian, with a small cup of coffee. Big, puffy clouds blocking out the sun--love it! Bird report: California scrub-jay, California towhee, House finch, Steller's jay, Dark-eyed junco, California quail, Hairy woodpecker, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, Western bluebird, Mountain chickadee, Common raven, Red-tailed hawk, and Ring-necked dove. Good bird day today, slightly warmer (mid 70s), great for a relaxing Sabbath with the pipe.
