Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2008 H&H Louisiana Red in a smooth straight WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Time for one more set of walks.

Dunhill London Mixture in a Stanwell No. 11. Ah, what a tin note! And of course, what a taste. It smokes somewhat damp to me after spending so much time over the past couple of years with Peretti’s English and Balkan blends, though not at all unpleasant. I have five tins of this nectar left, recent vintage, 2017. And then is it really gone forever?

A third of a bowl left of Sutliff Prince Andrew in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Set a new record for me for walking reps. It's a little hot and humid but the weather easing off makes it a heckuva lot easier to do the reps.

Enjoying a Sutliff blend of maple walnut from the Gettysburg pipe shop in a new Lorenzetti Julius Caesar with a couple fingers of Highland Park 12 yr old scotch.
