Taking out a couple of 1922s today - being Dad’s birth year.

Dad passed away on Wednesday, after a short illness (influenza), 3 days short of his 103rd birthday

I can’t recall ever seeing him with a pipe, but he smoked cigarettes for years - Players Navy Cut, Lucky Strike, Peter Stuyvesant, Benson&Hedges.
He stopped smoking in 1985 after a heart attack

So here’s to you Dad

1st up is a 1922 FLC straight billiard

Being a cigarette smoker, I thought Dad would be happy with the blend of Burley, Virginia and Cavendish in MacBaren’s Navy Flake

@OzPiper I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. That is a very nice tribute smoke, I am sure he will appreciate it!

@JimInks Lovely pipe! I'm not familiar with the term 'etched' for a pipe. Is that a manner of sandblasting or is this a rustication?

Part way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady fed the ferals except for the absent Tomato the Brave. I fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a set of walking reps on this sunny, chilly, windy day and am not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. The wind kept blowing my way when I walked uphill, so it took more effort today. As I walked out the door, Tomato the Brave was waiting to come in. I let him in and gave him plenty to eat while I walked. When I came back, he wanted out. Daisy the Feral Princess was waiting at the deck steps for me, and she followed me inside to eat some more. Didn't see Harry the hairy, but he ate plenty when he was here earlier.
