Drew Estate Toasted Black Cavendish in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian, as I prepare for the end of Sukkot. One might think this blend would be a Lane BCA clone, but it is not. More like Scotty's Trout Stream. 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, House finch, California towhee, Band-tailed pigeon, California quail, Mountain chickadee, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Hairy woodpecker, Western bluebird, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, and White-breasted nuthatch.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, orange roughy, and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth dark brown 1916 Barling The Hunt with beautiful silver work and a black vulcanite saddle stem with an orific bit. Ice water and bergs is my drink for now.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of 2017 Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 Peretti's M.T. Natural made in Holland straight smooth brown Algerian briar billiard with a tapered black acrylic stem. I mostly have my WC Strange Magic review written, but am stuck on a point or two. I'll smoke another bowl later. Never got to clean pipes due to chatting with an old friend, so I'll do that now.

More Scarecrow in a cob. For those interested, the stray tabby came back. We fed him a can of wet food, which he greedily snorted down, as we swooned over his handsomly symmetrical patterns. Our tabby boy didnt know what to do, he watched the other with great interest. The stray came near but fled if we got too close. After he scoffed down the food he sat on the woodpile and cleaned himself. Skinny fella, young, but clearly male and desperate. Any advice to cajole the guy is appreciated. Asking neighbours has equaled, "we've seen him, but he's not ours, so f*$% off" typical Ontario response. Whats even more interesting of the situation is an auburn longhaired cat who is following him, this one is very well manicured/clean and keeps a large distance to us. More than likely a curious house cat. The skunk is still eating at the bird feeder, at this point we're slingshotting peanuts at him, he just eats em and never raises his tail.
