I think the membership is putting up inspiring pictures today. I'm seeing an uphill par 4, about 430 yards. The cob is where the tee is, and I'm envisioning drawing my drive into the cleft at the top, and probably an eight iron to the green. Hopefully get close enough to the hole for a shot at a bird.

First time with Dutch Masters Cherry Cavendish in a Parker. All I can say is don’t judge their pipe tobacco blends in the same light as their gawdawful cigars.

This one of several recommendations by Jiminks and I was intrigued enough to chance it. I was looking for a muted cherry essence and this delivered. Had no bite and was consistent to the end.

Now smoking year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Have enough left of this old pouch for one more smoke. Ice water and bergs is my drink. I was looking out the kitchen window, and saw Abner the Eager walking in the neighbor's yard. I called to him, and he came to the driveway. I had to go outside to get him because Harry the Hairy was at the deck steps, and Abner is very afraid of him. Abner is eating now, but I noticed that he's favoring his left paw. I remember that he hurt it somehow months back, and was limping rather badly. He's not limping now, but I just saw him hold it up as he's eating. I'll check him out after he finishes his food.

Enjoyed my second bowl of Watch City's English Ernie-ental in a Crown Jewels pot, while doing some shortwave radio listening. An excellent smoke coupled with excellent radio conditions today.

I was surprised to see rubbed flake in a pouch. Compared to ODF, the fired Kentucky is much less pronounced; ODF could be a full bodied end of the day smoke, while this could be had mid-day.

John Patton's Storm Front in a friend-made custom Lovat, and a Tropic IPA to go with this tropically drenching rainstorm today. Sheeting sheets of rain here but nothing flood inducing...up in town 15 minutes away, however, they've closed the grocery story due to storm drains and store drains backflowing! Glad i got to my gutters last week.
