About a quarter of a bowl left of year 2013 Full Virginia Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This finishes my open stash of this particular year although I have more of it jarred. Next time I smoke FVF, it'll be from 2010. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

A couple of minutes away from smoking well aged Art’s Virginia in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth Rhodesian meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. The pipe and tobacco were gifts from my late friend Art Arterburn. The blend is 80% McClelland Va.s and 20% McClelland burley. 4Noggins sold it for several years.

Keep your eye out for KBV Sakura if you like cherry, this one is different, comes across more cherry blossom, also slightly Japanese plum like as well.

That looks absolutely amazing! I'm a big fan of cherry aromatics and the floral notes in Ennerdale, so combining them together with Virginias and Orientals sounds incredibly unique and delightful. It's a darn shame they're out of stock, I would have loved to pick some up.

Nearing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a straight black sandblasted 1924 Parker’s Super Briar Bark 11 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was made in the second year of Parker production. This will get me to dinner time. Getting ready to watch the Rangers-Astros game.

I’ve been trying several of the different stokkebye bulk aromatics. Ordered up a handful of different blends in the little sampler bags from SP.com. I was a bit hesitant, not really knowing what to expect, and fearing they’d be the stereotypical goopy and wet cheaper aromatic type of deal, but haven’t found that to be the case.
Favorites have been the “Optimum”, and “Pistachio”

Took a lovely walk with WeeBay up to the old Norman church of St Micheal and just got home, it’s a beautiful autumn day and the first of the year that actually felt and smelled of Fall with a brisk nor’easter. I regretted not packing an English blend as it would have accompanied it very nicely but was content enough with Erinmore Flake in my ‘66 Jeantet President.

Now home with some more coffee and about to pack some Pelican in an Italian Commodore cutty, usually used for stronger Lat blends than this. View attachment 253581 View attachment 253582View attachment 253583View attachment 253584
Top pic’s are the Norman tower of St Micheal’s and bottom the view north along the Ouse valley towards the hamlet of Piddinghoe and the historic town of Lewes and the South Downs national park.
Bird, you've got some nice old briars there.
