Damn Chonky, how long did that take? I've got a Troy Built I'll lend you....just messin with ya
:) The tilling only took a total of maybe an hour. In between I was raking and seeing what else I needed to till. Then I had to run it back to the place where I got it. It was a quick couple of pipes, though, because of the wind. I was worried I was going to burn out a pipe.

Just finished smoking year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Molly was snoozin' on my lap, which is something she doesn't do very often. Been watching the Mariners-Astros game which is scoreless in the 10th. Now, it's time for dinner.

Something about the first few days of cooler Fall weather just perks me up. Big breakfast of eggs & Canadian bacon, followed by some work in the garage and then TWO morning pipes in MM cobs (first one a bowl of PS Luxury Bullseye Flake, and second one a bowl of Peterson's MyMixture 965). Usually the most pipes I'll have in a day is 2 or occasionally 3. Think the most I've ever had is 4. But feeling motivated today and think I'll shoot for 5 (two more in the afternoon and then one after dinner). Will see how far I get...
Made it to a personal high of 5 bowls in one day (not a lot compared to many others here who smoke much more, but still a milestone for me!). In addition to the two morning smokes already noted, had two enjoyable afternoon bowls of Rattray's Red Rapparee in my Andreas Bauer Block Meerschaum Billiard and then an evening bowl of MacBaren Old Dark Fired in a small 1920's Dunhill Patent Shell Pot that I recently picked up (first smoke with that pipe--will post pic of it tomorrow). So all in all a pretty nice day...

A calm, quiet, cool autumn evening calls for contemplative smoke and read by candle light.
Pipe: Country Gentleman
Tobacco: Star of the Eastern Seaboard (base of Star of the East with some extra virginia that has been melding together for a year)
Book: Faith in the Face of Apostasy
