Skull Figural made in Saint-Claude—this company is probably better known for their watches now under the name Forestier & Cie, and of course, their leather clad Longchamp pipes (which I also collect and smoke).

A third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Crystal Palace in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 79 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Close to finishing this bowl of Ascanian No. 1 in a straight smooth dark brown 1930s (Comoy’s) The Exmoor Pipe 283 chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

A third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. I'll probably end the day with this smoke.

Having some WCC 558 in my new Peterson Emerald 03 estate. I may need to do an alcohol treatment on this pipe (more likely the stem). Still a sour note to it. Also, 558 is a different smoke in this pipe, anyway. Very interesting to see how the pipe can change the blend.

Starting the morning off with some McConnell Folded Flake from a Solomon lovat.

This morning full bowl of Newminster 400 Navy Flake in the renewed MM Mark Twain Cob to test recoated chamber ... smoked just fine and chamber has nice smooth carbon coated inside now all the way to smoother bottom ... more like a briar pipe but not quite. Dunkin Donuts Columbian coffee with light cream on side. Have a great day everyone !!

Per usual lately, my first smoke of the day was OJK. Smoked it in a Salmon and Gluckstein straight slightly canted bulldog with broad silver band and bone stem made in 1900. Needless to say, it's the oldest pipe in my regular rotation.
