Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and snow peas dinner with a small bowl of spaghetti on the side. Dessert was strawberries. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2022 Astley’s No. 109 Medium Flake in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. I DVR'd the Phillies-Padres game and am in the top of the first watching the Padres score four runs so far. Glad I have no idea what has gone on since, and if you do know, please don't tell me or it'll spoil the game for me.

Half way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Finally caught up with the ball game, which is quite a good one no matter who you want to win if you like a lot of hitting.

Just opened a tin of Old Gowrie purchased May 2020. Smoking this for the first time, and probably the only tin in my cellar, though I have a lot of Hal O’ The Wynd cellared.

First impression is that this is the sweet spot I seek when I smoke Virginia. If I continue to like this as much as the first impression, I will go deep

The pipe is an Altinay translucent meerschaum billiard

Yesterday afternoon was spent catching with a few close friends (former classmates) visiting from Malaysia to help celebrate my dad's 100th Birthday and mine.

Just cold water to drink, after Friday night's excesses

My first smoke of the weekend.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am off to the studio with a bowl of C&D Derringer in a straight smooth brown 1920s (Comoy’s) Lions Head 399 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Listening to the ball game as I work.

A second bowl - Samuel Gawith's Full Virginia Flake

In a 1913 Loewe's straight billiard, tapered stem with orific bit
The stem is a beautifully made replacement by Mike Billington of Blakemar Pipes
This was a very fortuitous find.
The previously unsmoked cased bent billiard was missing its companion piece.
This fits the slot so perfectly, it seems tailor-made for the case.
