Friday Eve….enjoying the last few bowls out of my jar of 2013 Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake in a Savinelli Estella 315 EX. As previously mentioned, when this jar is done in the next day or two, I will pop some vintage SG FVF or possibly GH Dark Flake unscented….or better yet I may pop both!

Not far from finishing this bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Now smoking year 2015 Dan Tobacco Tordenskjold Slices in a straight smooth dark brown year 1926 Parker Super Bruyere patent 3 63/F lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Often, I find it amazing I have pipes this old and older. I often think about the chain of ownership of old pipes, and realize I'm just a link in the line that some day will be added to by another.

That’s a beauty! Where did you purchase that pipe? I’ve only just heard that Ken Barnes is making his own pipes. I love his work on the early James Upshalls!
I hate to tell you this, but Ken Barnes passed away a few months ago. I don't know how many pipes he made before his passing, but I suspect they'll be hard to find. Maybe @sablebrush52 knows how many were made?
