Exclusive in a Herbaugh. Hey is the MacBarren Royal twist with Perique really good? Anyone here tried it on the last drop?

I got a tin the last time around, it’s not bad but like many MacB blends you have to take it fairly easy to avoid the bite. I’ve only had a few bowls and have left it on the shelf since hoping it’ll calm down a bit.

Ok I put aside the Nebari I was about to light up and dusted off the jar. It’s been ageing for 20 months now and although it’s mellowed somewhat there’s still a little bite to it. I’m going to soak a few coins in Cognac and see if I can remedy that, I’ll also try adding a little more Perique from Whole Leafs to some, (I believe you already have some of that excellent Perique) and see where that takes it. It’s not that big on flavour really so I don’t mind sodding around with it. I think you’ll be better with PS Rolls or Escudo to be honest.
Just my opinion however, if anyone else has some I’d like to know what they think of it.

As mentioned above, MacB Royal Twist in a Kaywoodie long Dublin from a matched grain set. It’s got a kind of earthy taste almost dirt like. Mind you I find MacB either nail it or fail miserably with their blends but that’s just my opinion. A drop of Sexton Irish single malt on the side, that’s going down well at least. image.jpg

Its a gold dot not a White Spot😆
Now I have to dab it with a bit of liquid paper to make it stand out!😂

It looks white to us here at Dunhill; perhaps a better camera is in order?

In any event, we successfully shut down Joel Sasieni when he used a blue dot, (see accompanying illustration 🔵) so, color of dot notwithstanding, our former cease and desist order stands.

Sincerely,

But you couldn’t shut down Vauen, they won the right to use the white dot on all pipes they sold in Europe and only had to use a different colour on ones for the UK. They started using it at the same time as Dunhill and gave short shift to Alfred et al in court.
This is my Vauen Churchwarden, one of the nicest hand carved stems I’ve seen.image.jpgimage.jpg

I copied this to my Attorney C. Deez
& Associates might as well make them earn their retainer.

Marxman 400 with MacBaren Latakia Rolls.
The Deal of the Pipe Smoking Century is about to be announced. 13 Marxman “The Four Hundred“ pipes will be posted shortly. They are being sold at a great price and all are in Good condition. The man with the briefcase full of 400s has been identified and is offering them for sale. Needless to say, I just purchased another one for myself. If you are interested in his information, thanks to daveinlax I was able to obtain it and the man with the briefcase has given me the okay to share it with other which I will in a few days to give serious 400 pipe hunters time to purchase one. PM me if you are interested.
