Thanks! I totally get that!Actually it tastes very good, but it doesn't have a lot of balls for my liking. If I compare it to a lot of other Balkans, it's not my favourite. Fusilier's Ration has a stronger topping, which I like. I'm not averse to any toppings per se (except maybe whatever's on Haddo's Delight...but it ages well.) Abingdon has more complexity and more flavour. So does Charring Cross, Black House, Magnum Opus, Red Rapparee...I could go on. When the Plum Pudding was fresh I found it kind of dry, and not huge on flavour. Now with a good deal of age on it, I find it more flavourful. FWIW. YMMV.
That's actually pretty incredible. Nice get.Here's the Nuttens/Ropp I just bought. I couldn't not buy this. I LOVE this stummel shape. I had the same Ropp but I traded it in to SP, because I just could not abide the horn stem on it, and I've lamented that they don't sell this exact stummel with a vulcanite stem. This stummel, hand chosen by Nuttens, with a hand-cut vulcanite stem! It was a no brainer, impulse buy. I didn't know these Nuttens/Ropps existed. Hopefully they'll be able to save the factory!

I actually have a dedicated HBS pipe, and this not it…wanted to try something different - glad I did. My HBS pipe is a rossi 8114. It’s been rode hard and needed some time off.I think my next pipe will be dedicated to Haunted Bookshop.
Yours looks perfect for it.
Hal in the kk. I think this makes about 30 smokes in it so far.

Still? Wow.I have to smoke this stuff carefully or it will bite.
I actually started with Band of Brothers about a month ago and then watched The Pacific. Berger's remake of AQotWF is, as you already commented, phenomenal.Great series. I followed that one up with Band of Brothers. I've lost count as to how many times I've seen Band of Brothers. If you haven't watched it yet, All is Quiet on the Western Front is phenomenal.
Awesome looking pipe! What's is in 3 kings? Reminds me of the blues lolMy blend, "3Kings", in these very old meer.... a gift from @ashdigger (thank you!);

I'm gonna have to age mine. I mean it rarely has gotten touched much anyway so I'll just see how it does later on. This is the Special Reserve Flake version. I found it to be really rich and the latakia is heavy, but not the same quality as the latakia in GL Pease. It has some rough edges too. I hope it will mellow some with time so it's not a waste. There are many blends I enjoy more and don't understand what the fuss is about.Actually it tastes very good, but it doesn't have a lot of balls for my liking.
