Captain Black Royal in this one of a kind Purple Pipe.

The owner of the local shop says he got this as an unfinished project with a lot of estates and partially rusticated it and stained it purple!
@Tate I received a packet of CB Royal from a forum member - I recommend you try it in a clay; maybe bonfire a clay bowl and see how quickly you can smoke it:)

We have to make you a stamp of Clay Royal Approval!
@Tate Maybe I could make one for Jason the blacksmith to present him at one of the re-enactments & one for Gawith Hoggarth at the Nottingham Pipe Show next year:)
A shame Wilson's of Sharrow in Sheffield (just over the border from Derbyshire) no longer make clay pipes:-(
Some of the Sheffield to the Peak District buses pass through Sharrow and the Snuff Mill is a Grade II* Listed Building: Sharrow Mills - Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharrow_Mills
After making snuff since the 18th century; Wilson's of Sharrow recently started making pipe tobacco:
I'd like to try some in my clays and contact the company to find out what has happened to their original clay pipe moulds. I take it they're still in storage; I'd like to have a go at making some clays!

An after fishing, after lunch, smoke of C&D From Beyond in a Moretti Morta Sandblasted Freehand, along with a mug of black coffee. I'm going to miss the "Fall Blitz" when it's over this year. Hopefully, it'll be similar to last year when we were still pulling in fish mid December here on Long Island.
