Half way through this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Gonna check on the ferals in a minute or two. Just fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger.

Cracked a tin of Crinkle Flake 22 I plan on lighting up this weekend. Smells so damn good. Sitting in a mason jar haunting me. Went back outside for more lights to be put up. Working on that with Uhle Crushed White Burley in POY 2000 Stanwell Dublin. IMG_0109.jpeg

I often have to remind myself that I smoke a pipe to relax. I have ruined many pipes, I like the ones I have, so I often smoke "in the moment", with nothing distracting me from my pipe.
Just curious, what do you mean ruin, I’ve done some charring to the bowl of at least one pipe by smoking too fast and hot, it’s still perfectly good to smoke, just trying to not make it worse.

I've burned a few pipes through at the stem or so thin they crush. I had some really bad early smoking habits, I've has a pipe burning in my hand so badly the exterior of the bowl was smoking. Had a pipe bowl crack it was so hot and a chip fall out of it.:(

My Savinelli is charred, so I rarely smoke it. Too big a pit to repair with mud.

Rustiepyles recently repaired a Rattray's pipe for me that had a serious charring pit above the draw. It's wonderful now.

Cheers, it’s a common problem.

This morning I had mixed VA flakes in my Pete Short Army 102 while feeding horses and mucking stalls.

Now it’s time to turn them out, and the inaugural smoke in the Peterson Silver Mounted Army 102 that I got last week. GLP Navigator got the nod for this job.
I prefer the well designed vulcanite P-lip on the Short Army, but the no-frills, no chamfered or tapered draft on the acrylic is functional.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.
