Last few days I've been smoking a tin of C&D Burley Flake #1 I picked up from a local B&M.

Excellent stuff! That and Burley Flake #2 are high on my list!

I brought it up to boil and let it drop to 200. No scale so I did exact levels on the measuring spoon. Medium grind.

200 is good advice, 195-205, I don’t notice a diff. I stick with 203 because I can program it.

Just finished smoking KBV Toast of Texas in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. This blend will only be sold at the Texas Pipe Show.

Breaking in a new pipe that I commisioned recently. I love the egg shape and Jerry Nelson seemed to have a good grasp on it. He made me this sandblasted egg with cedar burl accent. Breaking it in with none other than McC 40th. Enjoying with a cup of Oolong tea.
