I finally ordered my first meerschaum from SP this past Thurs. It was $76.50 and is an 'unknown'. I like the dimensions on it and it gave me that Gandalf in the ancient library, drinking his coffee and whiskey, at Minas Tirith vibe. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Last night, 1/2 bowl of Lane 1-Q in a new to me, Irish Second. I believe it is an 8S or 313 non-filter pipe with comfort stem (medium bent dutch) ; still trying to identify it. I traded a straight billiard with my brother for it. I thoroughly cleaned the entire pipe and stem but 40 years of Balkan Sobrani takes it toll ! Tasted o.k. but still working on it !

A few weeks ago I wrote an e-mail to one of my raw tobacco leaf suppliers, telling them what a happy customer I am and asking some questions about their leaves while giving out some friendly constructive criticism.
Their answer was quick but short.
Today I got another mail from them, thanking me for my last order and e-mail.
They gave me a code to get free delivery and 10% off the next order I make, also informing me about the new harvest of the first class Virginia, Burley and Oriental leaves. And they now list the year of harvest for all the leaves, as I suggested. I thought that was really nice of them.
Enjoying some of their Latakia Virginia Bright in my sawn-off. It recently fell apart and is just temporarily patched up but it smokes better than ever.
